Virtual Therapy Services in Texas and Arizona
FAQs
What happens on a consultation call?
During a consultation call, we will talk about why you are seeking therapy and what you want to work on. This is your opportunity to ask questions about the process, anything you want to know about me and next steps. If you decide to move forward we will discuss scheduling and go from there.
How do I know I should try therapy?
Ultimately, the decision to try therapy is a personal one. Therapy can offer support, validation, and space to process your life. If you're experiencing emotional distress, struggling with relationships, feeling overwhelmed, or simply seeking support, I can be a valuable resource for you.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I am in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield Massachusetts, Blue Cross Blue Shield Texas, Cigna, Quest Behavioral Health. Insurance will have to be verified prior to our session.
How do I know if you are the right therapist for me?
Choosing the right therapist is a personal decision. It's essential to find someone you feel comfortable and at ease with. If you don’t trust and connect with me, we won’t get far. During our free initial consultation call, we can discuss what brings you to therapy and determine if we are a good fit. If we are not a good fit, I am happy to provide referrals to other therapists for you to consider.
How long does therapy take?
The duration of therapy varies depending upon your needs, goals and what we are discussing. Some clients feel progress after a few sessions, while others benefit from longer term therapy.
What will my first therapy session be like?
Prior to our first meeting, I will ask you to complete documentation that gives me some background information on you and what you want to work on in our sessions. The initial session(s) is really about getting to know one another and developing a relationship as you get a feel for my style.
Is virtual therapy effective?
In my experience, clients are often more comfortable starting therapy when they are attending from a comfortable space. Studies do show that virtual therapy is just as effective as in-person sessions. All sessions are through a HIPAA compliant video telehealth platform.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
If you are unable to attend a session, I ask that you cancel/reschedule at least 24 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you will be charged a cancellation fee at the full rate.
